Use a journal to note your experiences with discomfort:

  • When does the physical discomfort occur?
  • Why do you think it started?
  • How did you experience the discomfort?
  • What were you focused on when the discomfort began?
  • Is there a connection between what you were thinking about and the discomfort?
  • Did the discomfort lead to negative emotions?
  • What did you do to manage the negative emotions?
