Reflect on the body’s signals and automatic functions

The body alerts us to various needs and states, often in ways we don’t think about in everyday life. For example, it tells us when we’re hungry, thirsty, or tired.

This is the body’s way of maintaining balance. But when the body signals discomfort, such as pain or stiffness, we become more aware of the signals, and they can feel more burdensome.

The body can alert us in many ways, such as blushing when we’re embarrassed, feeling butterflies in the stomach when we’re excited, or experiencing stomach pain when we’re nervous. This clearly shows how emotions can affect the body.

You may have experienced stomach problems due to stress or bloating and stiffness when you’re tense.
