Feeling like you are a burden to others is not a pleasant sensation.
It’s difficult to ask others for help when the feeling of being a burden is strong. Consequently, it’s easy to abstain from seeking help even when it’s needed. I was at a restaurant with a lady, and when I asked if I should ask for some butter for the bread, she automatically replied, ‘No, I don’t want to be a burden.’ In some situations, it may be easy to ask for help, but in others, it is not.
